Mary Tilker, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital, on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, with her daughters Anne and Rose and granddaughter Sarah at her side.
Beloved mother of Anne (John) Smith, Jim (Jean) Tilker, Ray (Violet) Tilker, and Rose (James) Vitez, and mother-in-law of Andrew Black. Beloved friend, grandmother, and great grandmother. Predeceased by son Joe Tilker and daughter Mary Black.
Mary was a fiercely independent and feisty woman, who taught us to “plant our own garden…not wait for someone to bring you flowers”. She will be missed always. Rest in peace, mom – ‘til we meet again.
Cremation has taken place. A Private Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
