Mary Margaret Pitre

Obituary of Mary Margaret Pitre
PITRE, Mary Margaret (nee: Levasseur)
Passed away peacefully on December 24, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family. Beloved wife to Ronald with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. Loving mother to Ronald Jr. (Renee) Pitre and Christopher Pitre. Treasured Grandma to Joel, Kyle and Rachel. Cherished sister to the late Carol Roach, Gary (Lillas) Levasseur, and Delores Landry. Reunited with her parents, Bella and Marcel Levasseur. Sister-in-law to the late Ernest Pitre, the late Robert (Rita) Pitre, the late Kenneth, and Gary (the late Linda) Pitre. Mary Margaret will be missed dearly by her special friend Carol Soulliere. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Mary Margaret was a devoted nurse, where she dedicated over 30 years to her career. She was integral in the opening of Banwell Gardens and Riverside Nursing Home. Mary Margaret was a faithful Catholic, and a member of St. Anne’s Parish. She was a proud member of the CWL, as well as part of the Women’s Auxiliary at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 261. To escape the harsh Canadian winters, she would spend weeks going to Florida with either Ron, or her brother Gary. We will all miss her famous banana bread.
