Mary Jacqueline “Jackie” Archibald – 84,
Salmon River, passed away peacefully, with family at her side, on
Monday morning, August 9, 2021, at Arborstone Enhanced Care, Halifax.
Born in York Township, Toronto, Ontario, she was the daughter of the
late Mary Margaret (McCarten) Yanda.
Jackie is survived by her children, Deborah Favaro (Gary),
East Petpeswick; Robert (Sueanne), Ontario; Cheryl Bartlett (Dave),
Westville; Troy (Jennifer), Abbotsford, British Columbia; Elizabeth
Mahaney (Joe), Upper Musquodoboit; grandchildren, Ashley, Marco (Their
Father, Mauro Favaro); Christopher, Brandon, Brianna, Emmy, Damen,
Rory, Harley; four great grandchildren. Along with her mother, she was
predeceased by her husband, Harland John “Harley”
Archibald.
Graveside interment service will be held 2 p.m., Friday,
August 20, 2021, in St. John’s – Clifton Church Cemetery,
across from 2448 Highway 236, Beaver Brook, Student Minister Jane
Magrath officiating. If so desired, donations in Jackie’s
memory to Colchester Historical Society are welcomed.
