It is with deep sadness that the family of the late MARY I. SMITH of Marystown announces her passing. Mary passed away at her sister’s home in Burin on Sunday, July 11th, 2021 at the age of 77.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Colin Smith of Toronto, ON and Rick Smith of Paradise; sisters, Helen Brenton of Burin and Betty Farrell of Little Bay; brothers, Frank Dober (Diane) of Spanish Room, and George Dober of Nova Scotia; sisters-in-law, Jessie Dober of Stephenville, Theresa Smith of Marystown and Stella Ernest of New York; plus a large number of family and friends.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Bill Smith; parents, Richard & Catherine Dober; parents-in-law, Julia & Philip Smith; brothers, Alban and Jerry Dober; sister, Josephine Power; brothers-in-law, Jack Smith, Frank Farrell and Edward Brenton; and sisters-in-law, Patricia Smith, Mary Ellen Power, and Phyllis Bowering.
The Smith Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on Tuesday, July 13th from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm; and Wednesday, July 14th, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on Thursday, July 15th, 2021 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Marystown.
In Mary’s memory, in-lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Roman Catholic Pastoral Care Foundation.
