Passed peacefully, gracefully and surrounded by her loving and grateful family, Mrs. Mary Frances Codner, nee Skinner, on the evening of July 23rd, 2021. Her family are heart-broken but left with many fond memories of her 81 years. Mary was a gentle, humorous soul but a force to be reckoned with.
Predeceased by her parents, Mary and Walter Skinner and her sister Margaret; parents-in-law, Robert and Catherine Codner, sisters-in-law Eleanor Melbourne and Rosemary Tiller. Mary leaves behind a very large, loving family who will miss her greatly. Especially her husband William; her children Shawn and wife Lynette, Glen, and Lisa; her grandchildren Shalyn, Kyle, Shauna, and Cole. Her grandchildren were always her pride and joy. Also mourning, her siblings Helen (Eric, deceased), Brud (Barbara), Tish (John), Brenda (Uli), Paddy (Phyllis), Jeannie (Max), Billy, Joanne (Ralph), and Eileen; sister-in-law Mona (Carl, deceased) and brother-in-law Patrick (Mary); also nieces and nephews too numerous to name individually. She had a keen and sincere interest in each of their lives and future. Also leaving behind with many fond memories are the Card Club Crowd who enjoyed over 50 years of fun and laughter; Kay and Axel Sorensen, John and Patricia Ryan, Pauline and her late husband Jimmy Molloy.
Words can’t express our gratitude to Isabelle Quinlan and the fabulous staff at Lane’s Retirement Home. Mary’s Angels as we called them. Especially Melissa, Lisa, Emily, Rex, Beano, Kyle, and Karen. Thank you also to her Doctors Braderick King and Natasha Pardy. Your love and concern for our dear mother and the excellent care you all gave her comforted us greatly and will never be forgotten. Thank you all.
