Mary’s Obituary
Mary Wald a long time resident of Grimshaw passed away at the age of 89 years.
Mary lived a long and beautiful life. She was surrounded by loving family and friends her entire life. From growing up surrounded by her Osowetski family then joining to the Wald family, to raising 7 boys in her household. She lived a typical life in northern Alberta raising her family, growing a beautiful garden, canning, providing fresh baked buns and pies as any hard working mother who is also being a arena lady giving time to the community organizations. She was busy making those life time friendships that remind us what life is all about. So hockey in the winter (the Huskies being a household name) to their family being large enough to fill a baseball team in the summer. Making community in every way.
Mary was a very proud and happy, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her purpose in life was love and kindness. She was generous with both. She leaves us with a lifetime of memories.
Mary’s service will be livestreamed from the Chapel of Memories Facebook page on Wednesday, March 17 at 11:00 AM. It will also be available after for those who cannot be in attendance at the time of livestreaming.
