Obituary of Martin Uher
UHER, Ludvik Martin – Suddenly at home, Martin Uher died on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the age of 50. Loving son of Julia Rose (Elliston) and the late Ludwig “Louie” Uher (2004). Dear brother of Dennis & Sharron Elliston, Saskatchewan, Jude & late Fred Barbosa (2020), Wallaceburg. Loving nephew to Betty Robertson. Cherished uncle of Susie Fowler, Sharon (Will) Shalewa, Amanda Barbosa, Adrienne (Rob) Sloan, Amber (Rob) Thibert. Great uncle to Carlito, Ryland, Ryker, Paul, Gauge, Iris, Celine.
Martin was a true animal lover and cherished every pet dog throughout his life. He would often take them for drives to Bridgen and Corunna. He also looked after many stray cats that wandered near, and even made sure that the local wild possums were fed. He had a soft spot for any animal and always did his best to ensure that the wildlife thrived at the farm. Martin was loved by the community, always tried to be a good friend, and would often share a laugh at the corner gas station. Martin will forever be remembered as a selfless caregiver and devoted fun-loving uncle.
Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Monday, November 29th, from 1 – 3 p.m. Sign up is not required for visitation. Private funeral service will be held following visitation. Cremation to follow. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Please note that masks/face coverings are mandatory and maximum visitors at one time and social distancing will be strictly enforced.
