WRIGHT: Marshall Leroy
September 22, 1940 – March 29, 2021
Marshall passed away peacefully in Goderich on Monday, March 29, 2021, at the age of 80.
Loving husband and soul mate to Kay for 58 years. Proud father to Michele (Steven) Scherrer and Nicole (Michael) Hohner. His grandchildren, Erin Scherrer, Eric and James Hohner, have been the light of his life.
Marshall was born in Carlingford, New Brunswick, and is pre-deceased by his parents Harry and Lela (Morrell) Wright as well as his siblings Preston, Barbara, Franklin and Theodore.
Marshall served his country with the Royal Canadian Air Force, and was first posted to Churchill, Manitoba before being stationed to Ramstein, Germany with the Canadian Forces and NATO. After his Air Force service, he moved to Kitchener to raise his family until retiring from Reliance Electric in Stratford. Marshall, with Kay always by his side, moved to Goderich to enjoy their retirement years. Marshall volunteered in the Goderich community at the Royal Canadian Legion, Huron County Museum, the Alzheimer Society of Huron County and with other causes in the community.
At Marshall’s request, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
