Marion Mae Kathleen Moore Dawe February 17 2021 avis de deces

Dawe (Moore), Marion “Mae” Kathleen – The family of Marion “Mae” Dawe is saddened to announce her peaceful passing on February 17, 2021 in the Magnolia Nursing Home in Enfield. She was 89 years old. Born in Glace Bay, Mae was the eldest daughter of Robert and Frances Moore.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Faye Peach (Cyril MacDonald); grandchildren, Robin Peach (Kim), Deanna Peach; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Kaitlyn, Sydney; sister, Irene Chipman; and several nieces and nephews who were all very special to her. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Cecil Dawe; brothers, Robert, Albert and Clyde.
Being a very dedicated homemaker throughout her lifetime, she was very well known as a welcoming hostess and a great cook. Mae in her younger years was also known as one of the ‘Powder Puffs’ race car drivers of Cape Breton. She was a force to be reckoned with as she soared like an eagle on the racetrack. She so enjoyed high action films and loved boating on the Mira as well. Mae was proud of her family. She kept in touch with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her nieces and nephews. She very much enjoyed everyone’s visits and was very interested in hearing about their activities and achievements. She had a quiet sense of humour, liked a good joke, and loved chocolate treats and candy. Throughout her life, she stayed true to her strong family beliefs. Her entire family is thankful to have had such a devoted and loving matriarch these many years. Her parting has left a void that cannot be replaced.
Mae was very grateful for the care that she received from Magnolia Nursing Home staff. The family would like to thank them for their kind and attentive service.
There will be a private interment at a later date in Cape Breton. For those who wish, donations may be made in Mae’s memory to charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
A message of condolence for the family may be made by posting your comment as a guest in the area below.
