Marion “Janet” Brown ~ September 29, 1935 – August 18, 2021 ~ Jan (nee Tangney) Brown passed away on August 18 after a brief illness. Predeceased by husband James Brown, parents Alice (Blanchard)and Joseph Tangney. Kind and gruff, Jan was happiest on a boat, at cocktail hour or walking a dog or two. Bookkeeper of the family business, Tangney Furniture, she and Jim were greatly invested in Lindsay’s success. She is deeply missed by sisters, Margaret Wansbrough and Marion Walden, niece Paula Wansbrough and nephews Joe Wansbrough and Jefferson, Benjamin and Adam Walden and their families, the beloved Morrissey family of Wendy, Kim, Krista and Kyle, dear friend Debbie Ramsey and many other relatives and friends. Cheers, Jan. As per Jan’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will take place at a later date.

  2. So sorry to hear about Jan’s passing. Enjoyed the few times we shared a meal with Jan and Jim at Marg and Sandy’s home. These were great times.
