It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the beloved Marino Bruni, on Tuesday, July 20th, 2021, at the age of 93.
After several months of declining health, Marino died peacefully with his family by his side.
Marino leaves to mourn his children Elisabetta, Enrico (Silvana),Teresa our mother Rita, his loving wife of 54 years and his grandchildren, Michel, Olivia, Lucas and Alexandra.
Marino was preceded in death by his parents Nazzareno Bruni and Elisabetta Alessandrini, as well as by his brother and sister Dante and Isolina from Montreal and his brother and sister Giovanni and Felicia from his homeland Folignano, Marche.
He will be missed deeply by the whole family, including his brother- and sisters-in-law, his many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He will be remembered as a dedicated and devoted father and grandfather.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the staff of the Jewish General Hospital Palliative Care Unit (4 Main) for their outstanding care, compassion and dedication.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for viewing Thursday, July 29th between 9 AM – 12 PM at the Yves Légaré funeral home located at 7200 Newman Blvd., in LaSalle, followed by the funeral service at 12:30 PM at St. John Brébeuf Parish, 7777 George Street, LaSalle, and thence, to the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery- Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Marino’s life can make donations to the Marino Bruni memorial fund In support of the Palliative Care Unit of the Jewish General Hospital, or the St. John Brébeuf Parish (roof reconstruction fund)
