Marilyn Ruby Scott
1940-2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of
Marilyn Ruby Scott on December 17, 2021, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers
Hospital. Born on December 30, 1940, she was the daughter of the late
Cecil and Ruby (McAllister) Betts.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter Debbie Couturier (Rob);
son Rodney Scott (Susi); granddaughter April Lee Couturier (OJay);
sisters Florence Graham (Nick), Shirley Eddy (Bob) and Viola Hachey;
brother Robert Betts, as well as several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her
husband James Scott; infant daughter Susan; brothers Hayward and
Morris Betts, as well as a sister Verda McPhee.
There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service
will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December
21, 2021 at 2 pm with Rev. Mary Tingley
officiating. Due to current
provincial regulations, proof of vaccination and government issued
identification will be required for entry to the
service. Interment will be in the Lower
Lincoln Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Marilyn’s
memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
