Marie Anne Gemma Deary Potter (Harvie/Campbell)
Was born on January 22, 1947 in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. Marie received her wings on January 4, 2021 in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada.
Marie’s passion for life had her enjoying many activities…knitting, fishing, camping and travelling. Marie worked in many fields of service from Stob Hill Hospital Glasgow to Drumheller nursing home, DARTS and home care. She was very active with volunteering with Special Olympics and assisted neighbours/friends when called upon. She had a wicked sense of humor that will be missed by all. She had many friendships in Canada (TOPS) and friendships that extended to Scotland and Nunny/Frome, England, UK.
Marie will be forever remembered and loved dearly by her husband, Mike Potter. Her children, Derek Campbell (Brenda), grandchildren, Samantha, Trina great grandchildren Daysen, Carsen and Bensen; Brandy great grandchildren Caden and Bodhi; Ryan, great grandchild Zoey); Thomas Campbell (Gail) grandchildren Kevin (Sladjana) great grandchildren, Emma and Luka); Graham (Kelly) and Allyson (Devan). Daughter-in-law Elaine Potter (grandchildren, Andrew Potter (Sarah, great grandchild Caleb); Richard Kulhanek (Andrea); Daughter-in-law Michelle Neill (Kim Neill) grandchildren Madison and Kelsey) and son-in-law Duncan Potter.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Mary Harvie (Glasgow), brother Richard and niece Linda.
In keeping with Marie’s wishes, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made directly to the Drumheller Cancer Clinic.
Due to Covid restrictions, a small celebration of life will take place when Covid restrictions are lessened.
