Maria Margarida Soares Bento
With love and gratitude, the family of Maria Margarida Soares Bento announce her peaceful passing on December 20, 2021 at Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 88.
Maria is lovingly remembered by many family members including her sister Armanda, sister Aura, four grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Boanerge, daughters Maria and Isabel, and brothers John, Edgard, and Dinarte.
Maria loved spending time with her family and friends. She always had a passion for sewing and ensuring that her family was well fed. Her strong faith carried her through many life experiences, challenges and celebrations.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Maria’s name to CancerCare Manitoba.
Prayers will be said on Tuesday, December 28, at 7 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 29 at 1 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N with Rev. Fr. Andre Lico. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum location in Assumption Cemetery. Please understand that capacity is limited, proof of double vaccination must be shown and masks must be worn.
Pallbearers will be Arsenio Chaves, Kevin Chaves, Sarah Pinheiro, Marco Pinheiro, Miguel Botelho and Jesse Botelho.
