Obituary of Maria Gilda Bucci
BUCCI, Maria – Maria passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Trillium Villa on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Enrico (2013). Dear mother of Pat (Rosanna) Bucci, Sarnia, Vince Bucci, Sarnia, Dina DeLuca, Sarnia, Tony (Pasqua) Bucci, Sarnia, and Robert (Heather) Bucci, London. Loving nonna of Maria Bucci, Sandra (Daniel) Huggett, Michael (Jessie) Bucci, Jeslen Bucci, Colby Bucci, Massimo (Tara) DeLuca, Marco (Melissa) DeLuca, Christina (Derek) Smith, Erica Bucci, Danielo Bucci, Vanessa Bucci, Sydney Bucci and Brianna Bucci. Biz-nonna of Luciana, Sidney, Mateja, Jonah, Talia, Magnolia, Harrison and Preston. Sister of Salvatore (Eileen) Evangelista, Sarnia. Predeceased by parents Camillo & Antonia Evangelista and sister Anna (Domenico) D’Ippolito. Maria was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She came to Canada in 1966 from Italy to seek better opportunities. Maria loved cooking, gardening and traveling. She demonstrated great strength, wisdom and love for her family and will be tremendously missed. Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Due to the restrictions of Covid19, a private family funeral service will be held in the chapel. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Please note that masks/face coverings are required for those in attendance and social distancing will be enforced.
