Peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 26, 2021 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Vincenzo. Caring and devoted mother to Lucy (Bill), Mag (John), Anna (Tony) and Enza (William). Proud Nonna to Amanda (Tom), Robert (Angelika), Samantha (Jeff), Nick (Sara), Elizabeth and Marcus and Bisnonna to Hailey, Benjamin, Jade, Emme, and Noah. Maria will always be remembered for the great love she had for her family and her passion of feeding them delicious home cooked meals and famous lasagna. She will be lovingly missed by her family and friends and large family in Italy.
The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home 211 Langstaff Road East (west of Bayview Ave.) from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 29, 2021. A private Funeral Mass of Christian burial will take place within the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph on Thursday September 30, 2021 for the immediate family. The final rite of committal and entombment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street Thornhill). Online condolences & directions may be found at www.catholic-cemeteries.com
Due to Covid-19 capacity restrictions, friends may have to wait to pay their respects during the visitation period, we are inviting family and friends to a walk-through visitation only to pay their respects, offer condolences and then kindly exit the building to allow for others to enter.
