Margaret Smith 1933 2021

Margaret Ann Smith, 88, of
Moncton, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021. Born in Montreal,
PQ she longed to revisit the place of her birth.
Margaret will be sadly missed
by her children, Brian Smith (Carol), Colleen Bourgeois (Charlie),
Jacqueline Smith, Susan Kelly (Rob), Patricia Lyons (Tim), Rick Smith
(late Debbie) and Michael Smith (Linda); precious grandchildren,
Brandon, Danielle, Patrick, Michelle, Brett, Natalie, Nathan, Ryan,
Nicole, Rebecca, Jamie, Daphne, Danny and Deirdre; great
grandchildren, Kaya, Gauge, Harper, Deacon, Amaris, Jay, Jude and
Ellie and her BFF Dorothy who held a special place in her
heart.
In addition to her parents, she
was predeceased by her husband John Smith (2001), Infant daughter,
Laura; siblings, Kenny, Claude, Doris, Dolly, Allan, Joe and
Gerry.
She loved her Family more than
life. Her kids and grandchildren meant the world to
her. She loved their hugs and cherished all their
gifts.
Margaret did not grow up with a
lot so later in life she acquired a passion for shopping.
She loved to buy things and wouldn’t pass up a trip to go to
the mall, she never threw anything away! She had a passion
for quilting and created beautiful blankets. She
loved playing cards and was always up for a game even near the
end. She loved to dance and all kinds of Music, and Randy
Travis was one of her favourites.
Visitation will be held at
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on
Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 1:00 to 1:45 pm, followed
immediately by a Service to Celebrate and Honour Margaret’s
life at 2:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Those attending will be
required to wear a mask and show proof of vaccinations, as well as
maintain social distance. Interment will take place at Our Lady of
Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe in the Spring of 2022.
Special thanks to Dr. Carole
Deveau and all the EMTs, Doctors and Nurses over the years who took
care of her. Her Manoir de Notre Dame family showed her so
much love, their kindness will never be
forgotten.
