Margaret May Beaverstock December 14th 2021

We are sad to announce the passing of Margaret May Beaverstock on the morning of December 14, 2021.
May was born in Sudbury ON, August 15, 1933, and was predeceased by her parents Albert and Alma Lapierre, and brother Ronald Albert Lapierre, husband Donald Wilson, and her sons Douglas Raymond and Daniel Ronald.
May is survived by her sons Donald Richard (Karen), David Robert (Avalon), and grandsons Danny Jr., Douglas, and David Richard (Michaela); granddaughters Tamara (Bill), Christa, Jennifer (Andrew), Tawnya, Nicole (Justin), and many great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, and extended family and friends.
A private Celebration of Life for May will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society of BC would be appreciated.
May grew up in Coppercliff and got high marks in math and was captain and coach of the basketball team. Born in August under the sign of Leo, she was very fond of exotic cats (Siamese, Burmese, Tonkanese) and kept them as pets. Coming from Sudbury area she had a fascination with collecting rocks of all sorts.
In 1951, with her brother Ron, they enlisted into the Canadian Armed Forces as the first sister/brother to enlist as per the local paper. While overseas in 2 Wing, located near Grostenquin France, she met Donald and got married 14 November 1953 and later raised 4 boys.
May went back to school to graduate and became a lab technician working in Barrie ON. When Donald retired from the RCAF they moved to BC, May went to BCIT and graduated as a Psychiatric Nurse working at Valleyview in New Westminster.
May enjoyed traveling and the warmth of Yuma AZ whereas a snowbird she travelled for 25 years alone after her husband passed. With his passing she attained a motorcycle licence and enjoyed riding her Honda Gold Wing trike, and when in BC was part of the Honda Gold Wing Precision Drill Team.
May had a full and colorful life with family, friends, oil painting, ceramics, sport cars, motorbikes, golfing, and site seeing. She will be missed.
