Margaret Mildred Kernaghan died suddenly at the age of 79 years on July 22, 2021 in Edmonton, Alberta.
She is predeceased by her parents: Gerald and Louise McNamara; younger sister, Patricia Louise.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William James Kernaghan; two sons: Patrick (Angie) and Shawn Michael; grandchildren: Brendan and Kaitlyn; siblings: Father Terry McNamara, Sister Dianne McNamara SP, and Patrick (Janet) McNamara. Margaret will remembered by dear friends Les and Ella, Kathleen and Ronny, and Judy and Chris. She will also be missed by many dear friends and family, including those she met over the years as part of the RCAF family communities in Trenton, Ontario, Cold Lake, Alberta and Greenwood, Nova Scotia, during her employment at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital and Edmonton Board of Health, as well as her brief time living at the Beverly Lodge.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home Downtown at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021. To join in the livestream, please click here.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alberta Diabetes Foundation.
