It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Grace Heard (Winn) on December 26, 2021 in her 91st year. Marg passed away peacefully with her family at her side at the Fosterbrooke nursing home in Newcastle. She was predeceased by her loving husband John Heard, her sister Elizabeth Churchley and brother-in-law Cy Churchley. She leaves a son, Doug Heard (Melanie) and daughter Wynne Edwards (Denis) as well as her two very special granddaughters, Celeste and Carly Edwards. Marg fought the good fight after a severe stoke in 2007.
Despite the handicaps she was left with after the stoke, she continued to be a happy and positive force in every life she touched.
The family wishes to express our most profound appreciation to the wonderful staff at the Fosterbrooke nursing home who have made mom’s home so comfortable, joyous and loving for the past 14 years. Their support has truly been a blessing. In lieu of flowers, we would ask the anyone wishing to make a donation do so to Fosterbrooke.
