It is with deep regret and extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret Rose Gillard. Margaret lived a very fulfilled life and passed peacefully in her sleep with her loving granddaughter, Jenn, holding her hand. She passed on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the age of 85. She was a resident at Venta Care Nursing Home in Edmonton, Alberta.
Margaret was born in 1936, in Dirleton Alberta, near Bonnyville. She was predeceased by one daughter, Susan Gillard; as well as both of her parents, John and Helen (Shalka) Dlugos; and her brother, Joe Dlugos. May they all be reunited in heaven and may they all rest in peace.
Surviving her, are her four remaining children, Gary Gillard, Elaine Gillard, Dave Gillard and Sandra Fortier; her four grandchildren, Jenn Gillard, Tom Gillard, Scottie Medwid and Aubrey Medwid; as well as her ten beautiful great grandchildren, and her two remaining brothers, Edward Dlugos and Frank Dlugos.
She will be forever missed, but will never be forgotten. She will be remembered for her amazing strength, her resilience and her lovely laughter. She will live on in our hearts for eternity.
Love is eternal; the aspect may change, but not the essence. ~ Vincent Van Gogh.
