Obituary of Malcolm Arthur Morash
Malcolm Arthur Morash, passed away peacefully in the Dartmouth General Hospital on May 18, at the age of 90 with his wife Myrna by his side. He was born in Halifax on May 14, 1931, the eldest of six children born to Earle and Florence (Kuhn) Morash.
Malcolm had a quiet nature, loved people, was a friend to all and was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. A farmer most of his life, he loved the outdoors and along with his three brothers owned and operated Maple Ridge Mobile Home Park until his retirement in 2006. He was a lifetime member of Woodlawn United Church where he served for many years as elder, trustee and a member of the choir. He was a charter member of the Dartmouth City of Lakes Barbershop Chorus where he enjoyed the camaraderie of the singers.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Myrna (Main) Morash; sons Craig of Toronto; Mark (Dallis) and grandchildren Kelty and Keiller of San Leandro, California; sister Geraldine Wambolt; brother Lorne Morash; sisters-in-law Edythe Morash of Dartmouth; Joan Main of Truro; brother-in-law Ronald Main of Ottawa; and many nephews and nieces.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Carl and Weldon (Karen); sister Helen (Lloyd) Kent; sisters-in-law Evelyn Morash and Eileen Main; brothers-in-law Ray Wambolt and Lionel Main.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Dartmouth General Hospital, the Veterans Memorial and the Admiral Long Term Care Home for the wonderful loving care you provided to Malcolm these past 13 months.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place when it is safe for us all to be together. Memorial donations may be made to Woodlawn United Church General Fund or charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
