The family of Kenny MacDonald regret to announce his passing on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at home in Sydney after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Born on June 6, 1951, in Sydney, Kenny was the son of the late Layton and Alice (Pasher) MacDonald.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Diane; son, Jordan; daughter, Kayla (Ryan Brough), Edmonton; siblings, Marguerite, Donald, Bruce, Christina, Karen, Audrey, Barry and Daniel.
Besides his parents, Kenny was predeceased by his siblings, Marlene, Ian, Robert, Elizabeth, Arnold and Edward.
The family would like to thank the cancer center, Dr. Kodadad, nurse Eleanor, the VON, palliative care and Dr. Adams for their care of Kenny in his time of need.
There will be no visitation or service at this time.
Donations in memory of Kenny may be made to Hospice, Palliative Care of Cape Breton.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
