Obituary of Lynne Lorna Lawrence
Lawrence, Lynne Lorna
“Say what you mean & mean what you say.”
“Remember the last thing you say –
may be the last thing you say – Say it with love”
“Smile”
It is with these quotes from Lynne in mind that we try to do just that while we announce her passing. Smile because a beautiful life has been lived and impacted so many.
After an eight-year journey with cancer, Lynne died, surrounded by loved ones on June 1st, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband Hal (2000), her parents Edward and Edith Howard, brother, Bill Howard and sisters Ailene Angus & Kathy Axford. She leaves behind her brother David and his wife Sheila, her nephew Allan Angus (who was just like a brother) and his wife Sandra, special long-time friend Marilyn Buttery and many other cherished friends who all benefited from having Lynne in their lives.
Her bravery, kindness and wisdom were shared with so many during her 73 years of life.
Lynne was raised in the Toronto-Danforth area, moved to Belleville in 1969 and then to the Strathroy area in 1981.
Lynne’s smile and dry sense of humour was unforgettable. She will never be forgotten by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
A private family gathering to honour Lynne’s life will take place later. Although flowers are beautiful and show your sympathy, Lynne has asked that your expressions of sympathy be directed to the Strathroy Hospital Foundation in support of the “Lawrence Buttery Operating Room” or a charity of your choice. To donate, please use this link and navigate to the drop down menu and select “Lawrence-Buttery Operating Room”
