Peacefully and surrounded by love, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt Luisa passed away at the age of 86 on September 24th, 2021.
Luisa was predeceased by her loving husband Ugo. Cherished and devoted mother to Angela and Tony Berardi and Diana Valentini.
Loving Nonna to her “due gioielli” Olivia and Gianluca. Luisa is predeceased by her parents Filomena and Rocco Tronca, as well as her parents-in-law Angelo Michele and Domenica Valentini.
Also, predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Domenica and Guiseppe Cerino. Loving aunt to Agostino (Jenny) and John Cerino.
Luisa immigrated to Canada in 1960 from Raiano, Abruzzo, Italy. Together with Ugo she built a new life in Canada. Luisa worked at Allen’s Candy Factory for 24 years and took much pride in her work.
Luisa had a passion for baking and was famous for her lemon cookies. Friends and family would often visit and never leave without a plate of homemade cookies or vegetables from her beautiful garden.
Many thanks to the nurses and staff at Queens Garden Long Term Care Residence for their dedication, care and compassion. The nurses and staff went above and beyond to make Luisa feel at home.
