Loretta O’Reilly nee Foran 1933 2021

Obituary of Loretta O’Reilly (nee Foran)
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021 in Long term at the Pontiac Community Hospital at the age of 88. Beloved daughter of the late Harry Foran and Annie Hickey. Predeceased by her loving husband William (Bill) O’Reilly. Loving mother of Leo, Danny, Rita (Bert Sheppard), Mary (Mike Dodds) and Shawn. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Vincent, Michael, Ambrose, Leo, Dominic and Clement and sisters Mildred McGuire, Gladys Kearns and Mae McCann. Survived by sisters-in-law Frances and Joan Foran. “Granny” as she was called by her little rascals, wanted nothing more in life but to care for them. She spent hours with them in her little rocking chair that started its journey in Little Long Rapids, Ontario and still exists today about 56 years later. She told many stories of her walks from North Onslow to Wolf Lake, laughing and singing with her sisters and brothers. She also had a strong devotion to her Catholic faith and rarely missed a Sunday morning mass.
Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 1040 Clarendon Street, Quyon, Quebec on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Funeral will follow in St. Edward’s Church, Bristol, Quebec at 11 a.m. Interment Parish Cemetery.
