Lois (Dawn) d’Aragon
February 12, 1953 – May 11, 2021
Lois (Dawn) d’Aragon passed away peacefully but unexpectedly on May 11, 2021. Born in Mosherville on February 12, 1953 she was the daughter of the late Basil and Lois Mosher. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Shona Lake (Kirk), Bobbi Lake, and Troy Lake (Sarah) and her grandchildren: Fallon Hannah, Jessica-Lake-Crossley, Bishop Lake, and Zachary Pittman. Dawn will also be missed by her two step-children, Julie d’Aragon and Jonathon d’Aragon, her sister Carol Wells, and her six brothers: Alex Mosher (Debra), Ike Mosher (Terry), Michael Mosher (Darlene), Robin Mosher, Peter Mosher, and Rick Mosher. Dawn was predeceased by her husband Andre d’Aragon, her grandson, Joshua Lake-Crossley, her sister Nathalie Mosher and her brother-in-law John Wells.
Dawn spent most of her working life in the hospitality industry and for many years managed a bar and restaurant in Halifax. She loved her family and was a “go to” person in a crisis as she was always at her best when you needed her the most. She liked a good laugh but mostly she enjoyed the simple things in life: gardening and sitting out in the sun with a good book and a coffee. She was a homebody and loved the process of shopping for and decorating her home, then shopping for and redecorating her home. You never knew what to expect when you stopped in, but you could be sure there would be changes. She adored the challenge of a good barter, and spent many years exploring and hosting yard sales. In her pursuit of a great bargain she also passed many afternoons exploring the treasures of thrift shops.
She was outspoken, feisty, and a true force of nature. She will be forever in our hearts and memories. A celebration of life will take place at a future time.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lois Dawn d’Aragon February 12 1953 May 11 2021..
