Lloyd’s Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Friday, July 23rd, 2021 at home surrounded by family, Lloyd Joseph Duffenais, at the age of 67 years.
Lloyd was the type of person everyone loved to be around. When they met him, he was one of a kind, with a heart of hold. He would help anyone and everyone. He loved to play guitar with his brother Richard and go fishing with his son-in-law Greg. He enjoyed the outdoors and lived life to the fullest. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his children: Batanya (Greg) Park, Bertina (Stephen) Connolly, Lloyddia Vincent (Keith), Brittany Vincent, Adam Duffney (Maryann), Bonnie (Mario) Astrino, and Jeremy (Stephanie) Duffney; brothers: Richard Duffney (Alma), Harry Duffney, Clarence (Paulette) Duffney, and Larry Duffney; sisters: Leona Jesso, Phyllis Duffney, Bertha Duffney, Isabella Duffney (Johnny), Elivena Duffney, Brenda (Dan) Recoskie, Verna (Martin) Mauviel, and Shirley Bowman (Cory); 16 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Lloyd was predeceased by: parents Henry and Beatrice Duffney; son Joshua Duffney; and brother Leonard Duffney.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations in Lloyd’s memory may be made to the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit.
The family would like to send out a special thank you to the Corner Brook Palliative Care Team for always being there when we needed them. And a special thank you to his sister-in-law Alma Stevens for the love, care, and compassion she has given to our father throughout his sickness. You were his angel and we will forever be grateful for you.
