Obituary
After having a serious brain hematoma caused by a fall at home, Lloyd succumbed to his injury May 5th at Brandon Regional Health Centre.
Lloyd was borne in Deloraine on September 27, 1938 to Bill and Eva Grierson. He has a twin brother Duncan (Judith), younger brother Gordon (Bertha), sisters Lorna Doyle (Gary) and Maxine Forbes (Keith).
Lloyd spent 40 years working for Manitoba Hydro which meant he had many moves. He and wife Vivian finally settled in Selkirk for 3 years, then moved to Killarney for 6 years. After this move, he accepted the job as District Operator in Carberry. We have been here since 1974 so have made many great friends along the way.
Lloyd loved his sports especially baseball and golf. He played baseball in Killarney for 6 fun years, then played with the Carberry Royals until he retired from baseball.
Lloyd retired from Hydro in 1996 then took up more golf. He and friend Jim Elliott had many a game.
Lloyd is survived by wife Vivian, daughter Pat (Harold Eide), brother Duncan (Judith), sister Lorna Doyle (Gary), sister Maxine Forbes (Keith), brother Gordon (Bertha) and many much-loved nieces and nephews.
We give much love and appreciation to our wonderful neighbors for all their inquiries and help. Friends who so desire may send donations to the Carberry and Area Community Foundation or the Carberry Sandhills Golf and Country Club.
