Fisher, Lloyd Allison – Age 86, of Middle Stewiacke passed away December 14, 2021 in The Mira Nursing Home, Truro.
Born in Middle Stewiacke, he was a son of the late Clarence and Lois (Peterson) Fisher.
Lloyd had a quick wit. He enjoyed being surrounded by young children because it brought out the child in him. In his early years, he worked as a woodsman and after that spent many years as a truckdriver. He will be remembered by his many friends for the yarns he spun and his hearty laughter.
Surviving are his children, Brenda (Larry) Watson, Elsa Fisher, Glenn (Noelline), Shawn (David) Rushton, Pansy Graham, Erven; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Marlene (Jimmy) Feener, Doreen Frank, Nancy (Dave) Keddy.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ola; son, Burton in infancy; brothers, Earl in infancy, Curtis and Victor.
A graveside service will be held in Middle Stewiacke Cemetery on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. Masks, proof of double vaccination and ID are required to attend.
Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
