Obituary of Lisa Michelle Boylan
Hey, have you got a minute? Sometimes our lives get away from us. Too much to do, with not enough time to say; to just talk to someone;
One of the few advantages of dying with Triple Negative Breast Cancer is that you have time to write your own obituary. The other advantages are not worrying about what you’re wearing for the day, leaving your phone at home and eating fun and yummy foods.
I plan to receive a call, a sign, that I have an appointment and will not be returning. I was given the gift of life and now it is time to give it back. It will be hard.
On my two wheeled machine leading the way, I am excited to be going to a gathering (kind of like a reunion) with family and friends that I haven’t seen in a long time. Great food out of my huge garden will feed everyone with handpicked flowers in the center of the table too. Music, motorcycles and stopping for beer will be guaranteed. Sunday morning Ceasars (pickled bean) on ice will be waiting. My clothes line will be for everyone to hang their clothes on, if you look up, it will touch the sky.
Sadly, I will have to leave my loving mother, Sharon McClory, here at this gathering. This alone will be hard. My predeceased father, Rex McClory shall be at my gathering (one of few people). Lessons learned from others include Todd Boylan, (however good or bad the situation is, it will change) I thank you for my two precious children. Josh- known as Hank (Taylor) Boylan (make peace with your past so it won’t spoil your present) and Emily Boylan (no one is in charge of your happiness except you). Hank and Emily, I love you so much and I am so proud of both of you. I wish you nothing but good things and good times. Remember that obstacles in your path are not obstacles, they are the path. Mr. Bull (my four legged friend), your loyalty to me will be sadly missed; our morning walks and our truck/ car rides will be never forgotten. Just think, I will have a side cart waiting for you. Bring your goggles. Isaak Bergen, my best friend, my ROCK, in a hundred lifetimes, I’d find you, and I’d choose you. I thank you for all the laughter, love and being with me to the end.
My beloved family and friends try to make three people smile each day and forgive everyone for everything. Life is too short. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good!
Lisa/ MOM
