Obituary of Linda Grace Medlyn
Medlyn, Linda Grace
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Linda Grace Medlyn (Nee Masson), surrounded by her loving family, on December 13th 2021 at the age of 81. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Phillip Medlyn (2013). Loving and devoted mother of Judy (Ted) Cox and Jill (Derek) Tyler. Proud Gramma of Victoria (Matthew) Graham and Katherine (Darren) Wakem. Linda is survived by her sister Gerry Watkins (late Ken) and is predeceased by her parents Douglas and Ruth Masson of Woodstock. Linda will be fondly remembered by her extended family and dear friends.
Linda was a dedicated nurse at Strathroy Middle General Hospital for most of her career and passionately supported the hospital at every opportunity. She and Phil dedicated their lives to creating the best of memories for all. Judy and Jill have many fond memories of summers spent on the boat. As the family grew, hours around the pool created strong bonds to be cherished always.
Linda enjoyed spending time on the golf course with Phil and friends, and raising a glass of wine before supper at the 19th hole. She was a strong woman who rose to every challenge right to the end.
We wish to extend our thanks to all of the caregivers who assisted Linda, especially to Dr. Nicolaas Buma for his care and kindness for over 50 years.
A private family service will be held at Strathroy Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Strathroy Middle General Hospital, or to a charity of your choice.
Online condolences and donations may be left at www.strathroyfuneralhome.com.
