Linda Goodman. 10-31- 1963 / 03-30-2021
On Tuesday March 3 2021 an unspeakable Joy and Indescribable grief collided in Linda’s hospital room. There in the Palliative Care unit at PRHC, with Kirk holding her hand, Linda took her last breath! Appropriately, she was wearing her favourite tee-shirt “Most Loved Grammy”. Beyond her most treasured grand babies, Linda loved and was so loved by so many. Her life could very well be summed up in this statement – “The love of God expressed through grace and gratitude”. She has gone ahead of and left an incredible legacy for; her hubby Kirk, and kids – Jake and Torie, Tim and Kenzie (Tillie and Sonny James) and Josh and Moriah (Renee, Maverick and Fletcher). As hard as it is to believe that she is gone, equally it is very difficult to measure and count the incredible impact and influence she has had on so many people. A real leader, and she lead, lived and loved in the most powerful, profound and quiet ways imaginable – little fan fair…very large impact! She made some remarkable and very wise choices along the way. She chose to live with cancer, not die from it! In addition, she would not allow suffering and sickness to drive her from God, rather it was in those places she experienced his loving presence the greatest. In part, a 14 year long cancer journey provided the path where those things were forged in her! A life very well lived. A person who will be greatly missed. A woman of a peculiar, simple and powerful faith.
