HUTCHINS, Linda Dale
Surrounded by her family, Linda Hutchins died peacefully at Nipissing Serenity Hospice, North Bay, on Sunday, June 20, 2021. She was 71 years old. Linda (Stever) was the beloved wife of Gerry Hutchins of Port Loring; much-loved mother of Andy (Heidi) of Loring and Vernon (Kelly) of Golden Valley; cherished grandmother of Landon, Logan, Curtis, Brittany, Makila and Carter and great-grandmother of Kayson and Ava. Linda was the dear sister of Celine and Robert “Bobby” Stever (Nancy) of Fredericton, NB, Connie Selesse (Marcel) of Campbelton, NB and Vivian Stever of Richibucto, NB. She was predeceased by her siblings Daran, Hazel, Gladys, Isabel, Vera, Mona, Herbert, Donald, Albert and Audrey. At the age of 20, Linda moved to Toronto where she worked as a teller at the TD bank on the York University Campus. Linda met Gerry, who was working as a truck driver for Smith Transport, and the two began a courtship. They married in May of 1973. Eventually, Linda and Gerry moved north to Gerry’s hometown of Port Loring and bought their forever home in 1975. Linda worked as a medical receptionist for Dr. Dawe, and then as a PSW with the Red Cross before retiring. Cremation has taken place.
