Our beloved brother Leonard Mitchell Julian died July 14, 2021 at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with cancer. He had good friends by his side during this difficult journey and our families wish to thank Mike and Jeff.
“Mickey” is survived by his son Johnny, his sisters Carol Olsen, Lenore Ward, Tracy Levesque and brother Dan Julian as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Sylvia Julian as well as his brother Tom Julian.
Mick also known to many as “Lenny” was born August 6, 1954. He was raised and loved by Leonard and Sylvia Julian. He grew up in Wahnapitae, Ontario. He was a sweet little boy who enjoyed following his big sister Carol around. Her little shadow. He became daddy’s little helper and along side him learned how to use tools and build things. He liked working with his hands and was talented with wood working. Mickey was liked by all he worked with. His dad was always proud of the hard worker he was at such a young age. Later in life one of his favourite pass times was fixing things and maintaining a nice yard at the church in Brockville. He resided in Brockville for the last 20 years of his life.
He was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. His mum Sylvia was quite proud of his “chef” abilities and enjoyed him cooking for her.
Anyone who knew Mickey knew he loved telling jokes and teasing. He was also the first one to poke fun at himself. That ‘giggle’ of his is something all who loved him will remember and hold in their hearts.
At his request no funeral service will be held. Donations can be made in honour of Mick to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Leonard Julian Wednesday July 14th 2021..
