Leonard Fraser Conrad August 3 2021

Conrad, Leonard “Fraser” – age 82 of Cow Bay, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2021, in Dartmouth General Hospital.
He was a son of the late Harris and Muriel (Jakeman) Conrad.
For many years Fraser had been employed as a sheet metal journeyman Local 409 with Halifax Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a devoted family man who loved fishing, hunting and golfing, especially with his late son-in-law, Walter Higgins. Gardening at the cottage and time spent with family and friends was always enjoyed. He followed many sports and the activities of his grandchildren which brought him great joy.
He was the beloved husband of 57 years to wife, Myrtle (Russell) Conrad; wonderful father to daughter, Janice (Conrad) Higgins and his late son, Paul Conrad; grandfather to Nathan Higgins (Nicole), Brittany Higgins, Melanie Higgins (Matt); brother, Edwin Conrad (Mary); sister, Debbie Campbell (John); many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by son, Paul; sisters, Mildred Conrad, Norma Mannette Selig (Lawrence); brother, Kenneth.
Special thanks to everyone who has been so helpful to the family at this time.
Cremation has taken place.
A family graveside service was held on August 8, in St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery, 346 Cow Bay Road, with Rev. Cate Ratcliffe officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
