It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Kolin James Neumann at home on Sunday, November 7th, 2021 at the age of 29.
He was the first son of James Neumann and the late Tracey Neumann (nee Cutting) and older brother to Cole (Bethany). He will be missed by his grandparents Karl & Pat Neumann and Donald & Gail Cutting. He will be lovingly remembered by his uncles Chris Neumann (Aleda) and Peter Neumann (Ivana) and his aunts Shannon Morrison (Tom) and Shauna Cutting (Jimi) along with cousins Paige, Jessica, Justin, Elizabeth, Gemma, Leila, Frankie, Gloria, Eduardo and Andris. He had many other great aunts, uncles and second cousins.
Kolin was the first grandchild for both families and was such a treasure to all who spoiled him. As a toddler with blonde curls, he enjoyed playing with his trucks and diggers. He was the apple of everyone’s eye. As a young boy he loved playing Pokemon and Duke Nukem and watching his Mighty Machines movies. As he hit his teens, this turned into a love of scary movies. He had a huge passion for drawing and was quite the artist. His creativity shown through in his artwork. He also enjoyed skateboarding with his buddies, usually ending in a broken or sprained bone in some form.
He was the oldest of the cousins but was excited to meet and play with each new one. His cousins recall how fierce he was with a piñata and their pool party days, watching movies together, playing in the sandpit during bonfires, overnight trips to the trailer and tobogganing in the winter. They were an inseparable group in their youth, true cousins.
He was able to see some of the world with family trips within Ontario, to Florida and to Bali.
As a young boy and into adulthood his greatest joy was fishing. It was the place he found his greatest peace. He enjoyed fishing at the cottage or just walking to the pond. So long as he held a fishing pole in his hands, he was happy. He also loved walking with Lexi the family dog. She was always excited to spend time with him and they enjoyed their times together. He had a circle of close friends and loved ones that he held dear to him. Each of them will have special memories of their times together.
His life was not without struggles and pain, but there are many more happy memories and good times to remember.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at Lounsbury Funeral home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge on Saturday, November 20th from 2-5 pm. Masks and social distancing will be required.
The family would like to thank the emergency response teams for their quick action and working diligently for him.
In Kolin’s honour, donations can be made to Cambridge Humane Society or to Canadian Mental Health Association.
