Obituary of King Terry
Terry: Samuel Kingsley – ‘King’
A resident of Chatham, King peacefully passed away the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on April 15, 2021 at the age of 97.
Born in Chatham, King was the son of the late George and Mary Terry (nee Gil).
Beloved husband of the late Lois (nee Johnston) Terry and the late Shirley (nee Lowe) Terry.
Loving father to Shannon (Stephen) Kubica and Papa King to Brenda McDonell (Gary Godfree) and Brad McDonell.
Papa to Carol and Adam Kubica.
Predeceased by his siblings Bill (Betty) Terry, Beth (Hank) Tiedeman and predeceased by many brother and sister in laws.
Sadly missed many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
King will be remembered for his years of service in the Navy and his love of his family. The times spent sitting on the front porch, long car rides (especially the trips to Florida) and spending time with family at restaurants will be treasured.
A special thank you to all the nurses, PSW’s, and staff at Residence on the Thames for their wonderful compassionate care.
A private family visitation and funeral service has taken place which was followed by cremation. A private interment will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
Donations made in memory of King to the War AMPS would be appreciated.
