Kenneth John Pearce Sunday December 19th 2021

Ken Pearce, a resident of Alppila Road in Kaministiquia departed this life on Sunday December 19, 2021. Ken grew up on Hill Street and at the family camp on Kabigon Bay Shebandowan. After graduating Hillcrest High he trained in Toronto as a sheet metal worker and worked in and around Thunder Bay his entire career. A kind and generous but stubborn and independent man he remained in his chalet on the hill until the end. Ken could be found collecting and chopping wood, mowing his vast lawn or cruising the countryside in search of old outboard motors to add to his collection until his health failed him and he was unable to drive. A good friend to all he met. He was predeceased by his parents Mark and Marion and his brother Robert. He is survived by many dear friends and relatives across the country. No service will be held at this time. Please reach out to friends and family and donate in Ken’s honour to your favourite charity. Thank you to all the friends, medical personnel, PSW’s, ambulance attendants, nurses and home care workers that allowed him to remain in his happy place. Thank you also to the excellent care he received at TBRHSC and St. Joseph’s over the last few years. A true friend who will be missed dearly. Online condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.
