Katrina (Kay) Monchakowsky
With sadness we announce the passing of Katrina (Kay) Monchakowsky, age 91 years, on Saturday, June 5, 2021, a resident of Eaux Claires Extended Care Home in Edmonton. Kay was born October 29, 1929, in Smoky Lake, Alberta.
Family viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Funeral Home, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton, telephone 780-426-0050.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 10611 – 110 Avenue; telephone: 780-425-9692.
Interment will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Edmonton immediately after the Funeral Service.
Due to COVID restrictions, only 20 persons will be allowed to attend on a first come basis.
Kay’s request was that no flowers be sent in her memory, but in lieu of flowers, expression of your Sympathy by Memorial Donations made to: St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, by way of cheques, cash or e-transfers (Please consult with the Cathedral Office), 10611 – 110 Avenue, telephone: 780-425-9692. Entrance to the Cathedral is also at this address.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Park Memorial Funeral home. For further information, please contact the Funeral Home.
