Obituary of Katie Meharg
It is with sad hearts that we announce the death of Katie Anna Meharg. Peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday December 2, 2021 in her 64th year. She will be greatly missed by her son Robert (Jocelyn), sister Theresa Henderson, sisters-in-law Jackie Henzler and her family, Pam and Carl Thomas and several nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy was her granddaughter Allison. Katie is predeceased by her husband Bob Meharg, daughter Amanda Meharg, mother Mary (Rafeisen) Barker and brothers Philip and John Barker. Katie was an educational assistant at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School, Monsignor Morrison Catholic School and Assumption Catholic Elementary School. She worked at Johnson Controls in Tillsonburg in the 80’s. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at the Kebbel Funeral Home on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. where the funeral will follow at 3 p.m. A family graveside will be held Queen of Peace Cemetery at a later date.
