Obituary of June Madill
It is with heavy hearts, the family of Verna June Madill, announce her death on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Bobby’s Hospice.
Born in Saint John on July 1, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Lola (Herrington) Madill. June was employed for several years as an office manager and then went on to work in Homecare. She was an avid reader and known for her sharp wit and wonderful sense of humour. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
June is survived by her children; Heather McNeil of Quispamsis, and John E. Hart of Nunavut, sister Edna Love of Quispamsis, brother Daryl Madill (Loretta) of French Village, sister-in-law Mary Madill of French Village, brother-in-law Jim Beyea of Quispamsis, grandchildren; Lindsey and Adam McNeil, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents, June is predeceased by her first husband John Hart, partner Raymond Tremblay, brother Steven Madill, and sister Joyce Beyea.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff and residence of Whitehall Special Care Home, for their compassion and care towards June and her family.
In keeping with June’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Due to COVID-19 health measures placed on gatherings, a Graveside Service will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens, 715 Latimore Lake Road, Saint John on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119).
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
