Obituary for June MacLennan (nee Burnett)
We say a final farewell to June who passed away peacefully at Macassa Lodge, Hamilton on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, in her 95th year. Predeceased by her husband George Alexander (Alex), December 28, 2016. Dear mother to Jim (Linda) Norek, grandson Craig Norek (Dharsy Sriranjan), granddaughter Amanda Norek (Shigeo Katsura-Gordon) and sister-in-law Anne MacLennan of Nova Scotia. June was born in Kelvington, Saskatchewan on October 28, 1926, predeceased by her parents Percy Moses Burnett and Jessie Francis Wyman, and her 5 brothers and 8 sisters.
Our heartfelt thanks to Emily Andrews for her weekly friendly visits to June including her calls during Covid.
Special thanks to the caring staff at Macassa Lodge – 3C East for providing wonderful care to June over the past 7 years.
