Passed away suddenly on Monday, April 5, 2021 in her 69th year.
Devoted wife of 44 years to William “Leon” English. Loving mother of Shane and his wife Paula, of Ottawa, and Cheryl and her partner Richard, of Cambridge. Cherished grandma to Matthew, Lilianna, Ethan, Lucas, Alivia and Grace. Predeceased by her parents Julien and Lucienne Guillemette. Dear sister of Donald Guillemette (Monette), of Stittsville, Gaëtan Guillemette (late Pauline), of North Bay, Normand Guillemette (Mercedes), of Gatineau, Jerôme Guillemette (Lise), of Sudbury and Jules Guillemette (Jeanette), of Corbeil. Predeceased by her siblings Georges Guillemette (Colette), Angèle Landry (Roland) and Roger Guillemette, all of North Bay. Also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Julie loved fiercely, worked tirelessly and took joy in her family. She was an accomplished woman who built a very successful business from the ground up. For those who knew her, Julie’s love for others meant providing a spotless house, overflowing plates, plenty of sweets and endless happy chatter. And we all know that she was afraid of bugs!
Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South, Peterborough on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visitation is limited to a specific number of guests at any one time. A funeral mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Liguori Church, Peterborough, on Friday April 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Norwood, ON. Livestreaming information will be available at www.duffusfuneralhome.com for those wishing to attend virtually.
