Judith Lynn Hussey (nee Jones) of Ottawa, passed away on March 1 2021 at the age of 73. Judy was predeceased by her parents William and Phyllis Jones. She is survived by her husband Tom Hussey and her sister Sharon Pigott (Bill).
Judy was a proud and loving mother to Jay Hussey (Juke) and Sara Lytle (Chuck). She was an adored Nanny to her grandchildren Sydney, Jake, Sefton and Charlie who were the true lights of her life.
The family will all treasure her firecracker spirit, and the many memories they shared of time spent together spinning in the living room to Michael Jackson, having her coach sports teams, playing cards, baking, singing, crafting, outdoor fun, sharing her love for animals, going to musicals and countless more adventures.
Judy retired from a long career as a Customer Service Representative at the Royal Bank of Canada.
Judy lived a life of integrity, packed with emotion and an openness to volunteering and helping others. Those close to her knew her as someone who was always joking around, full of sarcasm with a tell it like it is approach. A loyal friend who loved fiercely and never shied away from an off the cuff debate, she will forever be remembered with so much love and missed immensely.
Due to Covid restrictions, a service with immediate family will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, a consideration for donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated. www.foundation.ottawaheart.ca.
