On July 21, 1931, Joyce was born to Irene and Karl Kuhl in Gravenhurst, Ont. She bragged about being the prettiest and smartest of her siblings – Lyla, Emma, Dottie, Shirley, Jerome, Marion and Edna (all pre-deceased). With a brood of nieces and nephews, she was obviously the favourite aunt. After meeting in 1953, Joyce married John Kemp Campbell/LeMay and together they raised Gerry, Mary Ellen, Paul (pre-deceased), Gord and Colin. They also inherited their spouses – Diane, Jack and Lori. She was the best Nanny to Jared, Kyle, Alison, Adam, Kemp, Scott (pre-deceased), Jordan, Stephanie and Amanda. Nanny also loved to see and hear the antics of her 11 great grandchildren. After enjoying 32 years at Huronia Regional Centre as a supervisor, she retired in the early 1990’s. Never to be stumped by a puzzle, she also dabbled in many crafts and spent hours getting lost in a good book. We have all been proud recipients of her many creations from knitted booties to sweaters, socks to ceramics, and mitts to scrapbooks. Mom loved to sit at the piano while Dad played the fiddle. Oh, the beautiful music they made. For the past 2 years, Mom has enjoyed a loving community of staff and residents at Spencer House with Kemp by her side. On March 13, 2021, cozy in her bed, with her husband and daughter at her side, Mom went to be with Jesus. The family would like to thank all staff of Spencer House and OSMH for their loving care. A private family service by invitation only will be held in the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Friday March 26, 2021 at 11 o’clock. The funeral service will be livestreamed on the Carson Funeral Home Channel on YouTube.com Should you wish, donations can be made to The Comfie Cat Shelter or The Salvation Army. Love the people God gave you because one day He will call them back!
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Joyce Adeline LeMayCampbell 2021..
