…died peacefully in the care of family at home on December 29th,2021 Joyce was in her in her 76th year and beloved wife for 42 yrs of Peter Hansmann. Loving mother of Kenneth Di Bernardo (Lorie), Diana Jones (Aaron). Proud Grandmother of Ariana, Christian, Sera, Lila &Sabrina. Survived by her dear sister Elvira Cauchi (late Charlie) and brother Peter Cassar. Brother-in-law John Hansmann (Pierina), late brother-in-law Luke Hansmamn (Wendy), stepdaughter Jeanette Mansell (Craig). Predeceased by her siblings Mary, Frank, John, Doris& Tony. A proud Maltese-Canadian, Joyce emigrated from Malta to London, Ontario at the age of 5. She remained in the city for most her life, focused on raising her children with Peter. She was happy after 22 years to start an early retirement from Northern Telecom. Joyce took pride in her home she loved with Peter and their dog Bentley. Her most favourite things to do were gardening, knitting, crafts and her time in the kitchen. Joyce’s attention to detail was inspiring. Most of all Joyce loved her family and adored her 5 grandchildren. She will live on in our hearts, our laughter and how we love.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday, January 5th from 10 o’clock until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon. As per family’s request those attending must provide proof of double vaccination and identification upon arrival. Private interment at St. Peters Cemetery
