Joseph Andrew Collins October 11th 2021

Joseph Andrew Collins
March 19, 1938 – October 11, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joseph Andrew Collins on Monday, October 11, 2021. He passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice Society with his daughter, Debbie at his side.
Born in Ontario he grew up with a love of sports and was an avid Toronto fan. He enjoyed baseball, football, hockey and a friendly sports rivalry with one of his favorite people, Ted Nicholas.
He joined the army at the age of 17, serving with the Queens Own Rifles, Princess Patricia Light Infintry. During this time he made his way to Calgary, AB and began a life long career with Wholesale Heating and Plumbing/EMCO.
Eventually settling in Red Deer, he met and married the love of his life Dorothy (predeceased) and they enjoyed a happy life together, often including her six children. He was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, serving in various roles including President. There were many friends, many laughs and many fond memories.
He will be dearly missed.
We would like to extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to his daughter, Wanda Anglos; and granddaughter, Bailea Doward; the Red Deer Renal Unit, The Staff at Red Deer Hospital and to the amazing team at the Red Deer Hospice Society.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 Arnot Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4R 3S6.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Joseph Andrew Collins October 11th 2021..
