Obituary of JOSÉ GARCIA TORRES
February 15, 1942 – January 25, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jose at Health Sciences Centre.
Jose is survived by his loving wife Eduarda; son Nelson (Paula); grandchildren Adriana, Alicia; brother Joao in Portugal and extended family in Portugal. He also leaves behind sisters-in-law Odilia, Isabelle (Paulo), Maria and other relatives in Canada.
Jose immigrated to Canada when he was 18 years old and was an iron worker for over 35 years. Jose enjoyed watching the Porto soccer team on television. He loved his grandchildren and he also had many Portuguese friends.
The family would like to thank the staff who worked in the ICU at Health Sciences Centre for their excellent care.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with live streaming available. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery.
