Entered into rest at the Royal Brock on November 10, 2021 at the age of 89 yrs. John was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and was the son the late Robert and Jean Maxwell. Having worked at AEL Microtel for a number of years, John was very involved with the Brockville Legion having coached little league baseball for several years. Over the years one of John’s loves was playing darts, playing in many leagues and tournaments until his health prevented him form doing so. John was also involved in the Clan Maxwell in both Canada and the US, and attended many of the Highland Games that took place, in full highland dress. He is survived by his son William Maxwell (Luchia) as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and by a daughter-in-law Anne, a sister-in-law Doreen, several nieces and nephews and by his wife Linda. John was predeceased by his son Lawrence and by his two brothers Joseph and William.
Following John’s wishes cremation has taken place, with no formal services being held. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville.
